April McKenzie-Larrabee is a seasoned GRC leader and regulatory strategist with over a decade of progressive experience spanning financial crime compliance, governance frameworks, operational risk, and regulatory transformation. As Executive Director of Granite Rose Consultancy Limited, she spearheads the delivery of intelligent, technology-enabled compliance solutions to regulated businesses across Guernsey and beyond.

April holds a Master’s in Law, Governance, Risk and Compliance from the University of Law, and multiple postgraduate diplomas from the University of Manchester in Governance, Risk & Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering, and International Compliance. These qualifications provide a solid legal and regulatory framework that supports her nuanced, multidisciplinary approach to solving modern compliance challenges.

Her academic journey reflects a relentless commitment to professional development and innovation. She has undertaken specialized training in Operational Risk Management through the UK’s Institute of Risk Management, aligning her expertise with recognized professional standards and has further extended her expertise into the RegTech space by earning a certification in RegTech and SupTech from FinTech Global Academy—a credential that positions her at the forefront of compliance innovation. April’s professional experience spans leadership roles across fund administration, fiduciary services, insurance and healthcare governance. She has acted as MLRO, MLCO, and Compliance Officer, restructured compliance and risk teams, led board-level strategy execution, and designed enterprise-wide governance and risk frameworks. She brings a cross-sector perspective that enhances her adaptability and sharpens her decision-making—qualities that are critical in today’s evolving regulatory landscape.
